johnson9The products we use on our babies/toddlers hair is essential for them to have nourished and healthy hair follicles. I rely on brands and products that will protect my little princess’ hair. Having grown up with curly  hair — my mom always made sure that my hair was well conditioned, it is the same process I follow for my daughter. Her beautiful luscious curls need extra nourishing and conditioning to stay healthy. Johnson’s No More Tangles product line has made styling my daughters hair easier.

My daughter has soft thick hair that needs a lot of moisturizing and conditioning. I usually try to leave her hair naturally curly or up in a pony tail. Luckily, she is great at letting me style her hair when I want to do something fancy like a braid or Shirley Temple curls. My mom used to do Shirley Temple curls on me and my sister when we were younger. One day I tried to do the same style on my daughter and her hair came our adorable! It has become my “go-to” hair style for special occasions because it is easy and all you need is some Johnson’s detangling spray and leave in conditioner. You do not need any heating tools or hair spray!

johnsons3Step one: I shampooed my daughter using Johnson’s No More Tears for Thick/curly hair. I lathered it well then rinsed.

johnsons4Step two:  I put a dopel size of the Johnson’s leave in conditioner all over her hair then brushed it with a comb.

johnson5Step three: I sprayed the leave in conditioner all over her hair so that it is nice and saturated then combed through it again.

johnson8Step four: Using a combed to grab about one-two inch pieces of hair (making sure the piece was still saturated with leave in conditioner) I twirled it around all the way to the end of her hair follicle. You can also twist around your finger but I feel you get a better curl using just the hair. You want to continue this step throughout her entire hair.

Tips: If the hair starts to dry just spray more detangling spray to saturate it. The curl holds better when it is wet.

johnson11My daughter loves when I style her hair so I like to take the opportunity to try new hair styles often. I definitely feel lucky that she sits on a chair and lets me be creative! She is definitely a girly girl when it comes to doing her hair and painting her little toes. I love her hair and want to make sure that I take good care of it.
