Do you want to get your kids off the computer or from playing video games? If you have older kids, they are probably familiar with electric scooters. They may even have asked for one. Electric scooters are all the rage with kids – they go faster than traditional scooters and offer lots of excitement. Pulse Performance Products have electric scooters and traditional scooters for kids. We received Pulse Performance Products Lightning Electric Scooter and let me tell you that my son has not let it go!
The Pulse Performance Lightning electric scooter has brought lots of thrills to my son. He has been playing with the scooter every single day which I am ok with as it keeps him active and playing outside. My son loves playing video games but I really want him to enjoy the outdoors like I did when I was a little girl. I want him to stay active.
Equipped with 100-watt 24-volt rechargeable battery system, the Lightning has enough charge to run up to 45 minutes of fun. Powered by a chain driven system, the Pulse Lightning offers smooth power that’s easy to control and reaches speeds up to 10 mph. 140 mm polyurethane wheels are sturdy and smooth and the twist throttle system is easy to use and offers superior control and safety. For kids up to 120 lbs.
One thing I do like about the electric scooter is that it needs a running start for the motor to kick in. I was worried about it just starting abruptly and him possibly falling off but since he needs to push start he can control the throttle better. He knows to always wear his helmet when he uses the scooter.
When you first receive the scooter it does take about 14 hours or so to charge. The ride time is only about 40 mins but it is enough for him to enjoy. Just be sure to put it to charge once they are done playing with it so it could be ready for the next day!
Final thoughts: My son loves it so I love it. It gets him outside and off the computer/TV/phone/video game playing which makes me happy. It definitely is a fun product and I wish they had a scooter in adult size because I would totally use it. Yes, I would. Available at Wal-Mart, $99.00.
How do you keep your kids active? Do they have an electric scooter?
