The thought of using a computer can be daunting for some people. I know it seems strange in the era we’re in but it could be a challenge for those that have not been around it. There are many times I want to be connected with loved ones that are far away but because of the technology barrier they may have, I’m not able to share pictures and video calls with them. The Microsoft Store offers a variety of training classes to help those who may need assistance in learning how to use the computer or laptop. Sometimes it is easier for them to learn from a professional who can walk them through the entire process.
Though my mom is on the younger side, she still has difficulties navigating through the computer. She only knows how to get to icons on the desktop and websites that are in her favorites. I do try to teach her but it can be frustrating when certain things are in English and Spanish is her first language. I knew the one-on-one training offered in the Microsoft store would be perfect for her. Computers or laptops can definitely be overwhelming for anyone when they first start using it.
Let’s take a look at the different services you can get at the Microsoft store:
- In-store events
- Answer desk

They also host business events where you can network and connect with other business owners. Have a child that likes video games? They also host Xbox One gaming events and launch parties.
Answer desk. The answer desk is your go to service for any questions you have, whether it is tech support, protection, or personal training. You can schedule a free in-store consultation, meet one-on-one with a service advisor, they’ll fix the issue right at the store or recommend the best service for you.

Personal shopping. If you need help deciding what device you need, Microsoft advisors will be able to help! Get the PC that fits your needs or the deciding if a home entertainment system is right for you.
The store makes it so easy to find what you are looking for. Everything has its own section – laptops, PC’s, gaming, accessories, and more. The staff was so helpful in answering all our questions and were so friendly!
I can’t wait to share the experience my mom and I had when we visited the Microsoft store for one-on-one training. Stay tuned!
