Back to School Shopping at The Galleria Mall at Fort Lauderdale

galleria
The hustle and bustle of back to school shopping has finally dwindled with school starting this past Monday. The thought of driving from place to place to find everything I needed was exhausting to think about. Luckily, I have The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale mall not too far from my house which has everything I need to get my kids ready for the new school year. From major department stores to popular stores like Gymboree, American Eagle Outfitters, and so much more.

My son accompanied me on our little shopping adventure. He is 8 years old and has an opinion about everything. He knows what he likes and there isn’t anyone to convince him otherwise. I’m sure I’m not alone there! We walked the entire mall and ended up finding the majority of our clothing items in H&M. H&M recently opened at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale which had me very, very excited. It is one of my favorite stores – I lived in New York and shopped there all the time when I headed to the city. I was ecstatic to see one close to home. The affordable prices make it ideal for back to school shopping – more bang for you buck!

Gymboree was our next stop – I love, love the quality of Gymboree clothing. The adorable and trendy clothes for kids makes it my go-to stop when shopping for back to school clothing. I found a cute little dress with a matching bow for my daughters first day of school. I also got her some sequined leggings and a colorful floral tunic. I love the matching pieces they have – makes it so easy to get a complete outfit. Every time I go into Gymboree I know I’m going to find an outfit from head to toe.

I loved back to school shopping when my girls were this young. Now one is moved out on her own and married, and the other is a teenager. The teen doesn’t even like to shop. I miss these days.

H&M is prolific in Scandinavia and I avoid it like the plague. The first year I lived abroad, I bought a dress from H&M and the first time I wore it to work, two other women on my floor were wearing the same dress! I miss the diversity of US stores. I pine for Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma.

Back to school shopping is so much fun, because as you stated, the kids really know what they want and strike the balance between our fashion and their style. The Galleria Mall looks like something special, one place this shopping diva has not yet set her heels into. I absolutely dread back to school time, but love the shopping, thanks for the tips and insight.

Back-to-school shopping is always my favorite! Such a fresh way to start the new year. Loving all of your selections. I so wish I had a Galleria closer to me…we do drive to Houston or Dallas to frequent theirs at times!

Your kiddos are so cute! Back to school is such an exciting time of year. Those stores in the Galleria Mall are some of our favorites! You’ve got to love a mall that has good restaurants, too!

That looks like a great haul! My nephew just did some shopping some time ago too, and since my nieces are over at that part of the world, this mall looks like a great place to go to 😀

I want to live in Florida. I am tired of the cold weather. Your kids look nice in their outfits. I have an 8-year-old. He knows what he likes too. I haven’t been to H&M in a while. I need to check them out for back-to-school. I’ve got to check Gymboree for my 3-year-old. Thanks!
